Well i'm up in London on Saturday so i won't update to kitkat yet just in case i have trouble with battery drain. I've read some forums where Google Play Services uses more battery than Screen On time so i'll delay at the mo.
When i press 'away from home network' it says some features aren't available, does anyone know what ones?

The remote features. Away from your home network you can still record, delete and manage series links.

Re: TV Anywhere Android App
I had a feeling that Virgin putting the delay down to finding ways around this was rubbish. Cheers for info.

Re: TV Anywhere Android App
You won't need the app if you have an android tablet that can use the latest FlashPlayer in the Firefox Browser..and have Wifi.
I sadly only have one of the above.
Never mind at least the 4OD,iPlayer and ITV apps work on the Android. Can only hope Desmond gets around to a Channel 5 android app.
I'm just not going to get a tivo. That blackmail is not going to work.

There's also a TVCatchup app for streaming channels, some of which aren't available on the TV Anywhere app anyway

Re: TV Anywhere Android App
Don't forget you need the latest version of Flashplayer. It's no good going back to the archives.

That's been my experience with exactly the same set up.
I've now tried it with firefox but still no joy.

I have the version for android jellybean.
If the device wont even register i'd suggest it doesn't matter what version of flash is being used?

Re: TV Anywhere Android App
Oh, FFS! Not compatible with Kitkat!
This is what happens when development takes far too long. God knows how many Android updates Google have pushed out since this app was first announced 3 years ago. 4.4 wasn't exactly a state secret either and my existing video apps work just fine with it on my Nexus devices.
Will it be another 3 year wait until the app gets updated for Android 4.4?
