Which subscriptions are you likely to subscribe to in 2015

With BT Sports becoming a big player in the sports rights market the question is will you be paying for both these sports subscriptions?.

All depends how much btsport is going to be when the 3 year virgin xl will be, could be anything up to 20 pound IMO. Would probably just keep sky sports if that was the case.

Indeed if BT Sports is that sort of price then they know where they can put it.

Especially since their commentators have the personality of a mouldy oven chip, wonder what other rights they are going after.

From many reports nothing is sacred anymore with regards to future rights.

It really is to early to make any decisions, whilst I agree with the statement " l have simply had enough of the greedy buggers" I will wait to see what the costs are at the time. But, I cannot see myself paying for both.

Re: Which subscriptions are you likely to subscribe to in 2015

I too think it's far too early to make any decision about where my money will be spent. If you told me a few years ago that I would be spending anything like the sort of money I am paying now for a luxury like TV, I'd have called you mad.

I was on the verge of setting sail from Virgin Media right up until August 16th when Virgin negotiated a cracking deal (well I thought so) to secure BT Sports. So I'd guess it will be late August 2015 before I'd need to make any decisions and will football be any part of that decision?

I'm just pretty happy now, obviously I'd be happier if I wasn't spending quite so much money!

Re: Which subscriptions are you likely to subscribe to in 2015

Yeah too early to decide without seeing pricing.
Always been on XL so had Setanta, ESPN and now BT Sports so had some sport included.
Subscribed to Sky Sports for about 6 months a couple years ago but dropped them as too expensive.
Currently use a family members login to view Sky Sports though.
If BT introduce a good paid for package I will consider it as I do watch more European football amd Scottish games than I do the EPL

Re: Which subscriptions are you likely to subscribe to in 2015

It's not the "E"PL!

Or the Premiership!

Anyway, I get away without subscribing to anything at the minute because BT Sport is in xl and thereis a significant amount of free to air European football on ITV.

So for now things stay the same. But what I do in two years time very much depends on finding out exactly what is going to happen to BT's newly acquired rights. As I've said before though, I work a shift pattern and watching sport time shifted is a but rubbish, really, so I would begrudge paying out for an extra subscription. However, it looks like perhaps the time is coming.
