it won't help unless the goverment can force other countries to stop calling us.

just to what I do when I get a cold call just put the reciever next the phone and put in in a cupboard or draw and leave it there until you need to make a call. for me as I do not need to make meny calls I can have the phone tied up for 3 to 4 months, so I am ok.

Re: Stop nuisance calls with Which

In the WWE, each wrestler has to have a specific catchphrase or two. Some get away with having 3 or 4.

When I get a call from abroad it's invariably from a country that doesn't have English as its main language or someone that does speak it but doesn't know our phrases and sayings. So I just make it my mission to see how many WWE catchphrases I can incorporate in to the call as seriously as possible. I've never had any of them realise what I'm doing, as that's the bottom line cos Russ said so.

My current record is 11 catchphrases, if you smell what Russ is cooking.

Oh, and signed.

Presumably you don't mind not getting any calls while your phone is off the hook either...

Re: Stop nuisance calls with Which

3 calls in one morning from Indians calling about "UK Loans Support".

I have been teaching them good old Anglo Saxon phrases.

Signed.

Maybe GCHQ could be tasked with diverting all these calls back to their originators?

There was a thing on Radio 4 about investment company's that cold call you to buy/lease gold.

unfortunately they phoned a journalist who was investigating these people.

Lets just say the polices fraud squad have another company to look into.

Signed although I don't get many since I block them on my landline and reject them on my mobile.

It's uncanny, almost as if the word gets round that a certain number is a waste of time to try. I know they tell each other of the easy touches so maybe it works backwards as well.
