But you like many others said BT Sports was not coming but it did    and then of course there were all the Doubting Thomasses who said there was no chance of Netflix coming but it has.

well both sides needed that deal Den so it was not hard to see that it was coming sky don't need a deal for withheld channels hope we do get them

Why would sky give virgin Atlantic though? When they have just put it on now tv .

because most people are unlikely to pay £4.99 for one channel more than they currently pay for. (Atlantic is the only channel that is in the Entertainment package that Virgin don't have).
To be honest Virgin Media and Now TV are totally different demographics. Now TV is for people who want premium tv but don't want to pay a premium or be tied into an 12 month contract. Virgin is for those who want access to everything and are willing to pay and be locked in for it.
If Sky were clever (which they clearly are not) they would do a deal for Virgin to have the Now TV app on Virgin Tivo, but Virgin would say no. This makes wholesaling the channel to Virgin Media makes perfect business sense.
