Re: TiVo Update / Netflix
Does anyone know if you can look through the Netflix app without being signed up? I wouldn't mind having a look what is on offer before signing up.
I realise their is a month's free trial, but I'm going to optimise that for maximum usage!

That would indeed be good news and almost make a previous rumour of completion by 6 November be correct.

Now that would be nice if that happened.

Just go to the netflix website nd you can sign up free for your first month.
https://signup.netflix.com/home
Then you can see all they have and test it out.

Hi Stephen
Thanks for the info but, as I said, I realise there is a free trial. I want to sign up to that when I will be around to use it for a full month (I'm thinking around Christmas) to take full advantage before I decide whether to pay!
For now I just wanted to see what the app was like and what is available!

It was mentioned to me by retentions last week (tuesday) , i asked about going up to 60mb bb and i mentioned my 30mb wasn't cutting it with using Netflix on my pc or ps3 amongst other stuff being connected (it was ofcourse cutting it perfectly) she then said 2you've got Netflix on your TiVo now" i mentioned i hadn't had update she put me on hold for a minute then came back and said "it will be completed in the next week and a half" i'm just going by that info for the update rollout although my source has texted me saying more areas get updated tonight and updates will continue all week.

This is the same site but organised in a different way; he does seem to have multiple pages with the same info on. But a useful site or checking what's been added daily.

Have just seen Netflix are showing the original version of The Bridge. Sky can keep Atlantic and their pointless little remake.

Personally, I hate subtitled shows, and despite Fox blocking the US version of the Bridge coming to the UK (presumably because of the Sky Atlantic remake), because I use Unblockus for Netflix, I saw the US version via Hulu.

Fair enough PB. I feel these remakes just lose everything that is good about the originals.
I found the American re-make of The Killing (for example) to be incredibly cliched, very boring and remarkably predictable in many places and deliberately dumbed down. The characters were poorly portrayed and I felt no emotion for them. Overall I felt it was just a very, safe as houses, won't offend anyone, run of mill Hollywood movie that was expanded into a overlong TV show. I gave up on it after about 6 episodes.
