If it turns out that PS is free on XL (we still don't know whether that is the case), why couldn't they have used the money for PS to subsidise Netflix?
That way, Sports fans get a Premium addition and so do non sports fans. Going on retail pricing (as a rough guide), sports fans still are the biggest gainers, as BT sport is £15p/m and Netflix is £6p/m. And as Netflix appeals to both sports fans and non sports fans, but PS only appeals to sports fans, Netflix has a wider appeal than PS
Free Netflix would be a great USP; much greater in my view than free Premier Sports, and both sports and non sports fans would feel that they have been treated equally.

My Idea would be to give PS for free for those who pay £7 for HD as this is currently not looking great value for those who just get it for Sport and miss out from Sky 4 channels
|
No, because it is a Sky Basics channel. However, Netflix free on XL would be adequate compensation for non-sports viewers in my opinion.

That channel may launch when Virgin goes after HISTORY HD and CI HD.

I wonder then MB would be able to talk about the DNP. Is it imminent is it far, far away.
Interesting times

Well, we know that the Sky channels are coming, and with all the secrecy I think this is highly likely to be what MB is talking about. These channels are expected this autumn, but we don't know exactly when.
Alternatively, the only other really secretive negotiations are likely to be in connection with Premier Sports. This is likely to be broadcasting on VM on Friday.
That's the way I see it, anyway!

Yes it is, but I have had one or two problems recording from Fox lately because their best programmes tend to be on at popular times. So Fox+ would be jolly useful IMHO.

Ginxtv have started their on demand service at the moment it's only a little bit of content on their website but it's looking promising for their on demand content to come to VM in 2014 http://ginx.tv/

Barring winking from some (if not all) nice forum mmembers I have yet to see any evidence that they are coming, are we sure that this is a confirmed rumour from a good source I dont think we even got to that stage yet?
