The rule is asked for by the FA in each territory, so it is really their fault and not UEFA.

I guess Sky aren't as influential as i thought, they could have asked them to delay kickoff!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 5.
Forum hate is going to start again with Sirius on DS still pertaining to call MediaBoy a name so stupid I'm not going to repeat.
forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1725169&page=37
DS Forums are also holding a Q&A talk about Now TV with a member of the team on Tuesday. Would be interesting to see what he answers to the questions asking about the arrival of Sky Atlantic to the service. He had already got a lot to answer for with Sky Sports price points and picture quality.

The last I heard was that, following intervention by the Parliamentary Rugby League Group, VM had made "an improved offer" to PS, but that it was still likely to be a standalone channel.
I wasn't told anything about the channel being unscrambled for the RWC.
If it does go into XL and/or the RWC will be made available to all subscribers, it looks like negotiations have gone better that what was hoped. For once, MP's have achieved something positive

Doesn't Premier have one of the guys behind it who was involved with Setanta?
|
One of the Directors of PS was also a Director of Setanta. This is nothing unusual in business and wouldn't influence any decision by VM on whether to carry PS or not.
I agree that VM won't ever allow any third party to control their own subscriptions, look at what happened with BT Sport! AIUI, channels such as Boxnation are bought wholesale by a subsidiary of VM (Virgin Media Entertainment Services) and then retailed directly to VM customers.

It's to prevent it impacting on regular football attendances during those times in all European federations and in particular lower league clubs.

I wonder then MB would be able to talk about the DNP. Is it imminent is it far, far away.
Interesting times

I hope you feel better soon

I agree, it would be a wonderful PR excercise.

I like this tweet though
legendkiller2k8 @legendkiller2k8 10m
@FifiWoolerton @jamesgordon67 @RLWC2013 It will be in all packages from TVM until 25th November then it will be part of the XL package.
|
I guess this is to encourage those who want to see the end of the competion to subscribe (but I do believe that the important matches will be shown on the BBC).

1. Premier Sports will be added to the EPG tonight / tomorrow night on channel 551
2. Premier Sports will start broadcasting on Friday
3. Premier Sports will be free to all viewers until 6am on 25th November
4. Premier Sports will then remain free to XL customers thereafter

All I have seen is 'an new channel will launch by end of this week' but base on that rumour posted on DS Forum last weekend it look like Premier Sports may launch.

To add to the rumors Any Madden, Reviews Editor for What Hi-Fi, has Tweeted:
"Virgin Media deal with Premier Sports (TBA soon): RL World Cup shown in additional 4m households in the UK.”

I've got no time or interest for what is being discussed on other forums. If you have any issues with something being discussed on DS or any other website then take the matter to them.

Future Entertainment was closed in 2011. Channels are supplied by Virgin Media directly.
