Seeing plenty on Twitter and Facebook to suggest it's going to be free for Virgin viewers. I don't know if that just means free for the first month for everyone, or free to XL and VIP customers.

from what i can find out bud is that its launching friday and staff are only being briefed tomorrow on charges or no charges,it appears someone as leaked info early

After the bashing Virgin have taken on Facebook, Twitter and rugby forums offering Premier Sports for free, for the first month, would be a great PR exercise. Virgin Media would suddenly become the darling of rugby fans.

Still beavering away to see if I can get further info about the supposed "free period" on Virgin.

If they add another Premium sports package to XL FOC for the long term, I will probably complain to VM. I was fine with BT sports being added FOC, but another Premium one?... that would be taking the 'P' out of non sports fans IMHO.

So taking everything into consideration, over the past few pages of posts, it sounds like:

1. Premier Sports will be added to the EPG tonight / tomorrow night on channel 551
2. Premier Sports will start broadcasting on Friday
3. Premier Sports will be free to all viewers until 6am on 25th November
4. Premier Sports will then remain free to XL customers thereafter

If this is true, this is fantastic news for me (and probably most other RL fans). It might prove difficult for PS to attract RL subscribers at this time of the year (the RL season runs from Feb to October) if they are going subscription.

All you have posted is just rumours.

At time of posting Media Boy HQ has not seen anything about Premier Sports (Just rumours).

All I have seen is 'an new channel will launch by end of this week' but base on that rumour posted on DS Forum last weekend it look like Premier Sports may launch.
