Re: [MERGED] Windows 8 discussion
Finally made it so i don't have to enter a password when i turn the computer on, i had done it on other OS's but it is something i hadn't got around to doing on Windows 8.
For me now this is the best version of Windows available, just like Windows 7 was but with a new start menu.

2. In CMD.exe type 'control userpasswords2' ENTER
Then follow the rest from the pictures here.

Does the desktop Skydrive app not exist anymore on Windows 8.1 as i can only use it from the modern interface?

I tried this earlier and it worked fine but just tried again and mine does it too.
Luckily though i hate IE so always use Chrome so it won't be an issue as the blurred fonts in IE do my head in.
Edit
It appears to be a Google webpage issue as the search works fine in Bing.com and Yahoo.

All the settings are in the Modern UI now I think but you can still access your SkyDrive folder from Windows Explorer, I checked to make sure it's still syncing if you change files from there and it worked

Yeah, you can still toggle online/offline availability by right clicking in explorer but nothing more advanced than that

Re: [MERGED] Windows 8 discussion
It looks like Windows 8.1 Refresh/Reset has been broken according to this post on Neowin, there is a possible fix but i can't be arsed to test it.

Re: [MERGED] Windows 8 discussion
I've found that if you have fast start up enabled, it uses it as normal if you shut down from the charms bar but if you shut down by right clicking the Start button it does a "full" shut down. I wonder why they've done that
