The Rugby Parliamentary Group are just using the letters M & P to make the story appear to be a powerful message in the hope customers will get angry at VM for not making it available.
I suspect you're right, especially as I've just learned that the games relevant to most people will be shown on the BBC.

The sky talks referred to don't seem to mention Pick TV+1, does anybody know if this channel is included in the negotiations?

It must be cheap (or even a freebie bundled in with other channels) to give to VM, whilst giving the FTA channel an advertising boost.

I know it's normally full of rubbish, but I would find it useful for recording some overnight programming that clashes.

I really do not know what channels that Virgin Media and Sky are in talks for.

Also I have only seen rumours since that story appeared on Broadcast.

FOX + will launch sometime this month.

I am hearing that Virgin are rumours to be set to repackages some channels to the M+ Package in 2014.

With one of them being FOX.

With one of them being FOX.
If Fox drops down a pack I don't think I could really justify staying on xl.

FOX has several popular series e.g. The Walking Dead for me, so would be surprised if they moved a channel like this to lower prices TV packages, unless of course they also boost XL at the same time by adding Netflix at no extra cost for example??!!

this would make the most sense. devaluing the XL pack seems to be a tad silly. I know BT sports is great for sports fans but non sports fans would start considering downgrading.

netflix would immediately restore the balance!
