re: GTA V (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC)
After creating my character it just put me in some sort of 'free roam' and can't do much else :/

re: GTA V (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC)
hi all - so I'm a GTA fan and so far since GTAO was released a few hours ago, I'm stuck! I know RS said there were going to be some sticky moments.... however after creating my genealogically created self-rep and after a quick race with Lamar I'm stuck with my character nearly loaded...but with a soft focus haze over the camera... but being able to hear the world around me.
Anyone else getting this?

There are concerns whether Rockstar will be able to cope with servers for GTAO: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24335528
"unprecidented demand" combined with a lack of experience in the online genre could make for some issues?

re: GTA V (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC)
logging out and back in again you get the below error:
"The Rockstar cloud servers are unavailable right now. Only disc content will be available and saving will be disabled."
So those planning on rushing home after work, no need... it's going to be a bumpy few days/week.... as we can all appreciate why and i'm sure the majority will sympathise with RS, me included. Cause once the load-balancing and sufficient 'servers' are in place, GTAO will be awesome!

So...whilst we wait is there going to be a NTHW/CF Crew?

re: GTA V (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC)
Caspar! Been a while!
I joined the BXB Crew in anticipation of GTA Online, but I've just checked and it seems you can be in up to five different Crews - you just need to pick an active one, so you can flit from working for one Crew to another and back again if you want.
As such, I've just created an NTHW / CF Crew here:
http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/nthellworld
I've sent you a Social Club friend request and a Crew invite.
Any other CF members who plan to play GTA Online:
Add me on the Social Club if you don't have me already -
http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/member/mister_tez
... and on Xbox Live -
https://live.xbox.com/en-GB/Profile?...g=Tezcatlipoca
... and then ask in here if you'd like an invite to the Crew

I'd like an invite to the crew, but I'll wait a couple of days till the madness dies down

I'm giving it a few days before trying so any issues can be ironed out.

I can't get past the tutorial.
So Rockstar knew this was going to happen, but didn't bother doing a thing about it. Well played.

I expect it to be worse on Xbox in a few days, Xbox live becomes available to 'Free' accounts for this weekend

Both accepted... I think. Your requests show up as Notifications, but there's no option to accept, just to send you invites myself.

They've been buying more servers and trying to fix things. They knew it would have huge demand... just not this huge.

One thing we are already aware of, and are trying to alleviate as fast as we can, is the unanticipated additional pressure on the servers due to a significantly higher number of players than we were anticipating at this point – we are working around the clock to buy and add more servers, but this increased scale is only going to make the first few days even more temperamental than such things usually are. This is part of the problem some of you have been experiencing with the iFruit App and some Social Club services – we apologize in advance for this and thank you for your patience in this area.

re: GTA V (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC)
It's probably not worth bothering until next week at the earliest. I could see some of my friends playing deathmatch last night but before long they were signing back into xbox live.
Some of the net code must be crap, ie: when you get stuck waiting for a session during the tutorial race the game just locks up and you have to quit out to the dashboard. Annoying.

re: GTA V (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC)
I got in quite easily last night and was able to go through the turorial, do a few death matches and some retrieval missions.
I haven't seen any heist options yet though :/.
I was on it for a good couple of hours with no problems
