Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 4.

It's about time Virgin delivered on their "hundreds of apps" promise, but, even as somebody who has consistently said he's happy with the Virgin tv service as it is, I must admit I'd be delighted to see Netflix added, and if it cost me another fiver I'd pay it.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 4.

I already have a Netflix sub but no Tivo so I'll continue to get it on the TV via my xbox.

Whilst it's good news for Tivo owners I can't see it prompting me to pay the extra fiver per month for Tivo on the back of this announcement. Yes, it's nice to have it all in one place and easily searchable within the rest of the VM content, so it's no big incentive to switch as it'll put my monthly bill up.

I'm curious as to why some commenters feel that this will lessen the chances of getting Sky Atlantic. Have VM signed an exclusive deal with Netflix, or are they just the first to do it? If Sky want to peddle Netflix's wares I'm sure all they have to do is sort out a delivery method and sign on the dotted line. Surely Netflix wouldn't limit their penetration into the living room by excluding any deal with an operator as large as Sky? If that's the case why should Sky take their ball home in a huff and decide not to offer SA to VM if they haven't been precluded from doing something similar themselves? Or did I miss that bit?

If I had to choose between Atlantic and Netflix I would choose Netflix every time, to that end I am delighted netflix is coming.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 4.

It will be very interesting to see what Sky do to combat the last few weeks as Liberty Global/Virgin Media have well and truly parked its battle tanks on Sky's lawn and one wonders what they can do to combat this in the coming months.

It says that trialists will need to have a current Ntflix account, so presumably it won't cost you more to add it to Tivo if you already use Netflix.

You missed the bit where I said I don't have Tivo. I only have V+ HD. Is there still a £5/month Tivo tax? I'm a bit out of touch.

You can use your current subscription and what I am saying regarding sky atlantic is that if its included in xl I suspect sky atlantic will go back on the back burner I cant see netflix and sky atlantic coming at same time.from the info I was given weeks ago I suspect it will go in vip

No l can see Sky Atlantic coming first thus then followed before the end of the year by the full rollout of Netflix to TiVo.

Don't I recall another promise, to port the TIVO User interface to the other boxes?

Depends on your current bundle. It's quite possible that one of the new Collections would cost less or the same as you are currently paying

It was never confirmed as happening, just that it was a possibility.

Also noted that customers can also use their standard broadband connection in addition to the Tivo in-built one.

I suspect eventually they will up the dedicated line to the Tivo to maybe 20mb/s if customers are experiencing problems streaming Netflix without their own broadband.

Could that mean that us V+ XL customers will have access? If access is available to Tivo users without using their Tivo, why shouldn't V+ users be in the same situation?

What latest updates to Tivo software, have I missed something or is that the release which was actually ages ago!? Think it is the latter, just made me think a new update was on the way for a moment.
