Re: Vodafone rumour and LG...
It's a good story, and one that was doing the rounds before Liberty bought VM.
I'm not saying it won't happen but there would be quite a few hurdles to overcome, not least Verizon coming up with 130billion to buy Vodafone out.
There may be a number of competition concerns too.
Vodafone, bought C&W who in turn had bought Energis and Thus in the UK, throwing VM into that might be a carrier too far, who knows.

Re: Vodafone rumour and LG...
An article in the Sunday Times suggested that Vodafone selling their stake in Verizon would leave them open to a take over by other companies, such as AT&T.
Or that they may be forced to give the money to shareholders.
So with no deal actually done yet, these are all just stories a the moment.

Haven't Vodafone also purchased or are in the process of purchasing Kabel Deutschland surely with Liberty Globals ownership of Unitymedia KabelBW in Germany this could also throw up competition concerns in Germany.

Yes you are right so can't see them getting through the competition hurdle.

Re: Vodafone rumour and LG...
They could just sell whatever stake was worth the least to someone else as part of any deal.
