Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Ba on loan would be fine after Ozil to be honest. Ozil allows Podoski to be a center forward too and Ba adds depth.

That's if we get Ozil, which we won't,

You're conditioned as an Arsenal fan not to expect known signings, let alone massive ones like Ozil. That would be a HUGE signing for any team. We got excited over Arteta.

Yeah but these things are relative. Good point though. I think you'll be ok once the team beds in. Far worse teams in the league. Hull and Palace will go down IMO and one more...

What Damien said bar a few things.
Sunderland in my mind as a Newcastle fan had an impressive summer haul and I agree and did mention this way earlier in the thread that Sunderland would get off to a rough start before the team came together as a whole. However I have to reflect on my earlier view as Di Canio which I truly believe is a bad move for Sunderland, your fans may appreciate the guy and enjoy his managerial style but it has no place in football, Di Canio is an idiot and always will be, He has no idea how to run a Premier League football club and his attitude towards his players is ridiculous (Yes a Newcastle fan defending Sunderland players)
Tell your players off behind the scenes, fair enough but to lose your rag with them and then publicly bash them like he did on the BBC the other day is just way off.
Not to sound like I'm overhyping a player but Demba Ba will make more of an Impact than Mezut Ozil. Ba will score goals and lots of them, He's more clinical than Podolski, Walcott and Giroud put together.

Ozil and Cazola supplying Walcott, Giroud and/or Ba would be tasty

Al-Jazeera are confirming Ba to Arsenal on loan.
I'm not too happy about the loan unless theres a knock down fee agreed already for a full transfer.

The only problem you have with Ba is his ridiculous agents demanding hilarious fee's

Infact forget it, I wouldn't be shocked if at this stage we'd approached Michael Owen.

wow Owen. you'd be better off counting on Taylor playing upfront.
I reckon Arsenal will go back in for Cabaye today. we're still short on numbers in midfield. Arsenal have though told agents they are not longer in the market for an AM which is fine tbh, we only needed 1 able to play across the field.
what do you make of this...
didnt Newcastle want 15m+5m addons+percentage of future sale

We thought £20m was the realistic figure but it was already known Mike Ashley may go as high as £25m.
However with this being deadline day you could expect in Mike Ashley world for him to demand £30m
