Re: Superhub 2 5ghz Drop outs help...

Yeah I figured as much, hehe.

I have changed the security from WPS Auto to WPA-PSK[AES] on both networks and have set a channel on both networks, will give this a test and see.

Cheers

Right so I thought changing the security and the channel had fixed this, but no. happened last night and is still down. The 2.4ghz network is fine!

I tried to ping the router and got the following

Re: Superhub 2 5ghz Drop outs help...

What i do is have both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz on the same SSID and passphrase that way if theors a so called drop out it will just go onto the 2.4ghz or vice vesa.

Re: Superhub 2 5ghz Drop outs help...

well after a frustrating call to the technical team, I am still having this issue! They tried to blame maintenance in my area, which is ridiculous. I even described to them what a LAN and a WAN was and where my issue lies! he then tried to tell me I dont have a superhub 2 and thats why I dont have 5ghz network! Totally disgraceful! Was told I would be called back within 30 mins and that was 3 hours ago!

Looking on my logs It appears that they have been trying to upgrade my software (not as a result of my call I must add) but im getting a "SW upgrade Failed after download - Incompatible SW file" error!

Cheers

Re: Superhub 2 5ghz Drop outs help...

The Incompatible SW File event could be due to multicast file being sent down to be picked up by others on your node for whom the file is compatible. So nothing amiss there.

Re: Superhub 2 5ghz Drop outs help...

Probably not that helpful, but I too occasionally lose 5GHz connection while the wired and 2.4GHz seems to work fine.

Rebooting the SH2 fixes it so it's not the end of the world, but it is a tad annoying.

The only entry that looks out of the ordinary is the following, which means nothing to me...
