Re: What's going on with my speed???(wireless)

Yeah I have a Superhub, the settings I have changed are only to add to security, messed about with the channels to try and improve the speed. The best channel for me at the moment is channel 1.

---------- Post added at 21:07 ---------- Previous post was at 21:06 ----------

and its set to:
Up to 144Mbps (best for wireless range)

I tried the other two, the performance was non-existent, could barely load a page

Then you need a better wireless adapter. Something like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-USB-N53-Wireless-Dongle-Warranty/dp/B005T3TJ2I/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1376531547&sr=1-2&keywords=asus+dual-band+adapter

Use with your Superhub in 5ghz mode for best performance if you're in the same room as the hub.

Re: What's going on with my speed???(wireless)

Check your security mode in the wireless settings. Superhub default setting is WPA AUTO. This would give you poor wireless results through an n adapter.

What security is best then?

Re: What's going on with my speed???(wireless)

WPA2-PSK(EAS) works well for me.

Always WP2-PSK[AES] which you can set on your Superhub here: http://192.168.0.1/VmRgwlanPrimaryNetwork.asp

See "Fix #4":
http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wirel...w-80211n-speed

It won't change the physical limitations of your device though. You need to buy a better wifi adapter!

75 does not exist.

It is still round the 20MB mark, usually round 17-18MB(on average)

Yeah, I meant 72. 65/72 (long/short GI).

I wasn't assuming a guard interval length. Does the SH1 only support long GI single stream?

Re: What's going on with my speed???(wireless)

You ideally shouldn't really be using short GI on 2.4Ghz anyway but most manufacturers ignore this.
