Re: Have you changed/cancelled your account since ESPN closing?
Phoned up was on old VIP100 they moved me to the new VIP Collections which gives me more phone stuff and £11 per month less. I have a old SKY +HD with BT Sport with HD for £13 per month so currently spending an extra £2 per month.

Re: Have you changed/cancelled your account since ESPN closing?
Ive not changed, not a massive sports fan, im on VIP as it was better cost wise for the 120mb broadband, XL and Movies.
Im not sure but on a certain temporarily closed forum someone is saying a majority of customers are leaving, but quite clearly so far 80% haven't even altered their package...

To be fair guys, Mr Stokes was formerly a VM customer and only recently changed over to Sky so I think his vote should count

Sorry, but the thread title specifically mentions 'since ESPN closing'. Seems definitive to me.
Nothing against Mr stokes personally.

Downgraded from XL to M+ for now but will leave if no word about BT/ESPN in next 10 days or so.

I know. But at this point in time, you aren't a VM customer.
There is a distinct difference between an opinion as to what a person would do if they had a service than what people do in reality if they have to make an actual decision that affects them directly in an on going way.

Re: Have you changed/cancelled your account since ESPN closing?
It's a shame to lose ESPN, but I see it as a freebie on my package. I am not going to change my package or provider. My land lord will not allow me to have a Sky dish, and even if he did I would not not go back to Sky. BT have nothing that can entice me yet. If they improve their TV service with more channels and more HD, I may start to consider them but it is unlikely I would change. Where I live, VM give me a fantastic overall service and I firmly believe in the old "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" adage:-)

To be fair Setanta Sports was the replacement when the Sky basics were removed it was just a bonus that Virgin managed to strike the same deal with ESPN. Will they manage it again this time with BT, who knows?

Re: Have you changed/cancelled your account since ESPN closing?
I've not changed my package, Like the virgin media rep said on the phone last week "You've got the 100mb broadband package, there are other ways to see the UFC if you know what i mean" pretty sound advice from the rep i'd say.

Re: Have you changed/cancelled your account since ESPN closing?
I'l ring for the £10 disloyalty discount on monday, but even if they don't offer me it I won't go anywhere.
Really would like to go to Sky for SS3HD and Sky Sports on mobile but just can't give up my TiVos.

No because neither Setanta 'nor ESPN run a rival telecom business.

Re: Have you changed/cancelled your account since ESPN closing?
I downgraded my XL package due mainly to espn leaving. I also took into account that we were watching very few channels (must be an age thing)
VM has its knockers, but in 15 years the service I`ve received has been 1st class.

I agree that when I had Virgin their service was great however they could no longer deliver the channels I wanted, at the price I was willing to pay.

I voted "On same package". Has something terrible happened that might threaten our very exsistence. Or the internet?
