And lets not forget before ESPN we had setannta and before that we had prem plus for a £1 a month how many years does that cover that we have had prem football in our package?

end of day the tv packages little to rigid maybe time revamp its structure to type view habits.
onlly thing keeping xl alive is its free vod I feel.
whether vm move one of sky premiums to compensate or bring picturebox into XL as option to compensate. At least make the comitment of price freeze in XL/Vip. They put prices up with this could be disasterous.

Picture box? I'd want a discount if that crap went in xl package

Are you sure? I thought I read somewhere that you can only stream from the website if you have BT broadband. But, as a non football fan, I defer to your knowledge on this.

At least I have an MLB.tv subscription and an AppleTV so I can carry on watching the baseball until VM/BT get their acts together. My parents are going to be upset at the loss of the UFC though.

Ditto for UFC. Properly miffed beyond miffage about that. I've not missed a live UFC in about 3 years.

I'm still happy with most of what Virgin has to offer, TiVo, much better BB than any other provider, more HD channels than ever before, and still the same amount of non sport channels, so all in all im pretty happy with what i've got, just means a few extra trips to the pub to watcgh the games i want to see..... ......

I actually agree but this sadly problem for vm. its seen as another kick in teeth from rivals rightly wrongly.
people get fed up of vm failure negotiate deals or its slowness in getting deals. Whether its being stuborn in customers interests or not we not privy what demands are. Can Vm actually survive a battleground similar to sky witholding its channels. Similarities is how the customers react to no btsports to when sky1 was removed.
time will tell but seems worry sport fans are impatient or should sy premier football fans sadly.
In the end vm got ask do want quality or value for money or customer choices.

I agree 100% with this.
But virgin media have lied in a way. I've had advisors on the phone telling me "good things are coming". Now either the advisor is hoping for the best or they're being fed shenanigans. Even if good things are coming (i'll certainly celebrate big time) but should we really be doing this? lying about deals etc.
I'm a petulent child i want what i can't have. I can't have BT sports. I want BT Sports.
