Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.
I'm with post3207... Awful BB speed on other providers is making think twice, or thrice or more, about leaving VM... I'd just like a bit of sport as we can't really afford to pay for Sky sports at the moment. And Eurosport doesn't count, as it often isn't showing what the guide says, and even then the standard of commentary is worse that I could manage. Drunk.

I have to say I'm really surprised at the lack of an announcement from upc. Virgin get stick for not making announcements even when they've nothing to say, but to say there'll be an announcement and then not make one is pretty poor. I'm sure most of us were looking to the upc announcement as a possible indicator of what's going to happen with Virgin.
I remain convinced that Bt sport is no real loss, but I'm concerned that BomberAF will struggle if he comes back here, which is a shame given it's a long standing user account. I posted before that he seemed really credible, and I still believe that, but his information is certainly starting to look a bit duff. I hope people cut him some slack if it doesn't come off.
As an aside, if my use of the word meaning a pregnant goldfish was genuinely offensive then I apologise to those genuinely offended, although I stand by my comment - and I don't think I'm alone in that view either. I wasn't trying to circumvent the swear filter, but I had, obviously wrongly, assumed that it was set at a level commensurate with what the mods are prepared to allow. Common sense dictates that it should be!

Cut him some slack, clearly it was totally guess work that belong in the beano I only tend to listen to mb he is rarely wrong.

Well its 24 hours 33 minutes until BT Sport launches and talks between VM and BT are now going to the wire strange how UPC are leaving it till "later today" to make there big announcement instead of this morning can't see it having anything to do with VM's talks.
It will be interesting to see what the 4 channels are if there not BT sport

Don't forget that those who really want it can still subscribe and stream the action through their website. What we're really debating here is whether or not it will be possible to watch it through a Virgin stb, not whether or not it will be possible to watch it at all.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.
hugh same as some already on xl but over years some channels which watch originally dropped to lower packages. Just was satisfied when espn else might dropped lower. Did not care if they going have to increase it cost. thats what pay for better channels.
end of day the tv packages little to rigid maybe time revamp its structure to type view habits.
onlly thing keeping xl alive is its free vod I feel.
whether vm move one of sky premiums to compensate or bring picturebox into XL as option to compensate. At least make the comitment of price freeze in XL/Vip. They put prices up with this could be disasterous.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.
To be perfectly honest here, i wouldn't leave Virgin just because they couldn't secure BT Sports, we still have Sky Sports, and imo they have the better line up of games anyway, ok we are losing games that were previously on ESPN last season, but i wouldn't be bothered with all the hassle of moving, for what to me anyway, is a bunch of games on BT Sports which don't exactly set the heather on fire! I'm still happy with most of what Virgin has to offer, TiVo, much better BB than any other provider, more HD channels than ever before, and still the same amount of non sport channels, so all in all im pretty happy with what i've got, just means a few extra trips to the pub to watch the games i want to see..... ......

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.
Personally, BT sport is over rated.
So what if you don't get 12:45 sat kick-offs, or Europa league, or FA cup, or Italian, German, French leagues
And who cares about all the other sport
Sesame street is coming, sing with me..lets be having you!
Sunny Day
Sweepin' the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street
Come and play
Everything's A-OK
Friendly neighbors there
That's where we meet
Can you tell me how to get
How to get to Sesame Street

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.
I wonder as it's on freeview tomorrow will it be available on freeview after as a subscription? Could be the solution for me if not on VM.
