So you put your kids out in the rain and the snow all day do you? You know very well that all kids (well maybe apart from yours) spend some of their time indoors and it is perfectly legitimate for some of this time to be watching a bit of TV.
I do find your apparent attitude towards children to be very controlling and completely without compassion or empathy. No-one of my generation as children had colour or multi channel TV, HD and the rest of it, but I wouldn't deny that to my kids just because I didn't have it.
But maybe you're a very nice person really and just trying to be controversial....

Albeit rather inappropriate....
well my daughter has grown up into a well balanced respectful young lady with morals and a good attitude. That can not be said for a good number of teenagers. So stick your lecture on child rearing somewhere only your proctologist will find it
