I fully expect VM to tweak its packages making them even better ,
Looking purely at the cheapest entry package to XL with a PVR (TIVO) costs £60.99 , compared to £54.00 for Entertainment Extra + (from Sept 13 prices) with Sky of course if your address can only receive poor ADSL speeds requiring you to take Sky fibre this then this makes VM cheaper by around £5.50.

Both companies have introductory offers for new customers however I still believe VM will make XL even more attractive or alter its pricing to make it more attractive to those wanting XL TV via the cheapest method.

Not really, they just don't have enough stuff to warrant two channels.

I could not agree more regarding the fact that the cost is now beating customers, and NO companies don't care about its customers.
It is great news that BT Sports have gone into the lower leagues of football, some of the games on there are better than PL/Championship football.

My only gripe is the fact that Sky, BY and Talk Talk getting into the act should make it bigger and better for fans, but its not.

What people have to realise is that these companies could make it cheaper for the customer, clubs are raking it in from sponsors, but the problem is that it is forcing Tv broadcasters to up the cost of games.

It is going to come to the crunch when it will be easier to actually going to watch a game instead of watching it on Tv.

If prices go up anymore, l will seriously consider packing all the football on Tv, and just watch it on ITV, as just recently it was announced that ITV are planning on getting a new 'pay' channel - possible for football in connection with Bt Sports.
