At least there prices rise by just £1.00 OR £2.00 per year, not like VM who have increased there price THREE times in the past 16 months.
 | Didnt you already go to Sky and left within 14 days? What has changed since you left a few months ago?

Of all the providers that do carry all SKY Sports channels, Virgins prices aren't the worst.

1. Talk Talk - £30.00 per month
2. UPC Ireland - £29.00 per month
3. Virgin Media - £25.75 per month
4. Wight Fibre - £22.50 per montj
5. SKY - £21.00 per month
6. Smallworld - £16.00 per month

With prices varying so greatly, I can't see it being SKY who are dictating what providers must charge. There is no way Talk Talk would accept SKY telling them they must charge almost double what Smallworld do. Smallworld must be taking a hit whilst everyone is is turning a profit. With the wholesale price of SKY Sports 1&2 jumping up to £20.78 from September, it will be interesting to see by how much the above prices jump. Wasn't the last wholesale price for SKY Sports 1&2 set at £10.63?

Virgin offer a great all round service, which SKY are close to emulating. I would say that I was happy with my Virgin services until 1 price increase too many last year. Since then Virgin have done a great job adding lots of missing HD channels, and niche SD channels. At the same time SKY have improved their fibre network and on demand service.

As a consumer I thing both offer great all rounds services. I'd be happy to jump back and forth between the 2 companies without feeling like I'm missing out on too much. If Virgin can add BT Sports, add SKY Atlantic, ease up on traffic management and hold prices for 12 months I'd have to say that Virgin would be the overall best service provider in the UK.
