General : Hannibal ep1 On Demand before air on 7th May

As title says, Hannibal episode 1 is available via On Demand before the première date of Tuesday 7th May. Is this an error or a sign of a new policy?

I think I'm right in saying that on demand viewings count towards ratings if they're within 7 days of the air date? If that's right then I wonder if that's 7 days before as well as after?

They've been doing it with a fair bit of content recently , Vegas Episode 1 was aired before it started on Sky Atlantic as was The Following , the latest series of Touch was also available On Demand before it premiered on Sky One. Its a way of encouraging people to connect their Sky+HD boxes up to the Internet or in fact upgrade to Sky+HD also with that comes increased Sky Store revenue.

That's great - I did think it would only be on demand early on Sky boxes but I can watch it today, two days earlier than the broadcast on SKY Living
