Nothing has been officially announced, but there have been rumours recently regarding Sky introducing some sort of "content sharing" / "planner sharing" to enable one STB to stream content to another.

Well, from what I've read (so not necessarily true), they screwed Tivo over, 10 years ago, so that they could launch Sky+, which left Tivo free for VM to partner with. I think that counts.
Actually one good thing Sky did was to start to show US shows close to the US air date and several channels have followed their lead.
And Sky have lead the way in HD, forcing VM to try to catch up.

I'm taking it that you have the DRX595 Non PVR when you say multiroom box if so check the software version you are on for both boxes , the latest version currently being rolled out to customers is R006.058.60.00P however this is currently being done in batches so keep your eye out.
R006.058.60.00P will bring you the following ,
On your multiroom non PVR you'll receive the 8 line EPG like your PVR and an ECO mode setting , this box already does DD over HDMI.
On your 2TB you'll receive the ECO mode and DD over HDMI
The STB software is constantly evolving so watch this space.
