Everyone has different interests but the shows on Atlantic seem to appeal to a wider range of people than many other channels.
Personally I mostly watch Discovery, Nat Geo, Eden and similar channels (which look awesome in HD) but the series I look most forward to is Game of Thrones on Sky Atlantic. Don't care much for the other shows but there are those that like Vegas, Blue Bloods, The Following and the other exclusive to Atlantic series.
Those that don't want those tv shows or prefer using the computer over tv, shouldn't be worrying about those that do watch tv, want that type of tv and want that channel.

You can pretty much download or stream everything on British TV, and American TV, very easily. I think I was first introduced to P2P TV shows about 10 years now. It's strange that whilst people can get premium TV for "free" over half of all households in the UK are prepared to pay for their TV.
A little off topic but I suppose it fits in:

Sky Atlantic must be popular if otherwise upstanding citizens are prepared to break the law to watch some of the exclusive content
It is thanks to pirates that air and release dates are getting closer to US dates now, instead of 3+ months like in the past

Yep, really crazy to discuss TV channels on a TV related forum. We should be discussing the more important things in life, even though they have nothing whatsoever to do with anything vaguely related to Virgin Media.

No need to break the law to watch Game of Thrones. It's on Blinkbox, which you can watch on an Xbox.

Season 3 won't be, not for a while
---------- Post added at 09:28 ---------- Previous post was at 09:26 ----------
I bought season 2 on Blinkbox, watched through my smart tv, it was a great series, just the quality of the streaming picture was not quite as it should be. Although it was fine on my Ipad.

As of March 21st no confirmed channels are set to launch on Virgin TV bar BBC Two HD and Sky Movies Disney next week.

Rumour: Vintage TV may 'possibly arrive next week'.
Just found this on Virgin Media Forum:
Quote:
Someone at Vintage TV told me the channel should be made available to us soon on cable. Any truth to this?
It was via email. It says carriage has been agreed with Virgin and we could possibly see it arrive next week.

Yes, we've discussed that before, but it is a very expensive way to watch HBO shows. People want a fairly priced legal way to get the shows without having to be tied to a particular TV service provider.
