a) He's running a whelk stall badly.
b) He's unemployed and living in poverty in a Stoke bedsit.
c) He's Chief Executive of the NHS on £270k pa plus bonuses.

Did anyone really expect anything else ,this sort of "reward for failure" policy is prevalent in all public sector posts .When was the last time anyone saw a high up public sector manager sacked for failing to do their job and end up stacking shelves at Tesco

Why do you say public sector, as if private sector is different?

In private sector, the reward for failure is massive (look at the banks), and opportunities are there for them to go elsewhere (if they need it, given the millions they get, they don't need to ever work).

It would make more sense to say that the culture in all jobs, is that senior staff are compensated excessively, and lower level staff are treated less well (though rewards in private sector for failure is greater). Doesn't matter if it is public or private sector.

Pollard's BBC Review Evidence To Be Released


The BBC is braced for the release of evidence gathered by the Pollard inquiry into how the corporation handled the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal.

It is expected to reveal "dysfunctional management" contributed to the Savile scandal at the BBC.

And it is likely to place further criticism on the corporation for an apparent reluctance to hold to account executives whose actions brought about the crisis.

Dam right they will be criticised, why do the BBC still think they are above the law.

They should be brought to book and dealt with swiftly. However there supporters will rally round and claim this is a one off and they should be given leeway AGAIN.

I've just read through the beeb link and have come to the conclusion that there is not a conclusion .It mentioned that the decision not to pursue the Newsnight report was 'flawed' but we already new that ,so i'm none the wiser ,anyone else wiser ?

What do you expect from ANY organisation that has a guaranteed income. The people can NOT vote with their feet. Perhaps a political party could add scrap the license fee to its next manifesto.
If UKIP did my guess is it would draw in more votes from, perhaps "the I do not vote brigade "

Never going to happen as the NON biased BBC would crucify any party who attempted it by using there news and programing to prevent them from getting elected.

The BBC are NOT as non biased as there rose tinted sun glass wearing supporters would like us to believe.

what will happen over this is they will rewrite history in there favour to ensure there are not punished.
