Remember for £10.00 per month Setanta Sports, depending on your TV provider, offered Setanta Sports 1, Setanta Sports 2, Setanta Sports News, Setanta Golf, Arsenal TV, Celtic TV, LFC TV and Rangers TV. Setanta peaked at 1.5 million subscribers which included Virgin Media XL customers.

BT Sports are only offering 2 dedicated channels. There is no way they can match the content provided by Setanta Sports. They won't be able to match the content offered by ESPN / ESPN America either.

Any more than £10.00 per month and BT Sports will simply price themselves out of the market. Setanta went down the pan, ESPN are leaving the UK. BT Sports won't last long if they try to rip people off.

Something will have to go in our. household because wont be able to afford sky sports, espn AND bt sports. I wonder what chances there are of sky bundling all 3 together at a affordable price?

I'll put my house on it only being available in a pack on BT Vision why on earth would they give their major competitors a massive advantage , I believe it will be sold on a monthly subscription basis on both Sky and VM probably around the £10 mark however until we see a press release its pure speculation.

Yeah, BT will replace their 'free' ESPN with BT Sports, hopefully we can get the same on cable.

BT just paid 3 quarters of a billion £'s, so I doubt they will give them away for anywhere near what VM were paying ESPN.

VM will either drop the price of XL or increase it if they want to include BT sports.

 | None of us will know what happens until a firm announcement is made.
