I don't see it as greed. They are not forced to pay it. If they don't want to pay, then don't. Simple.

none. though not aware of what he has done that is note worthy
http://www.o-posts.net/news/tag/marwood-man-city/
Brian Marwood is the man largely to blame for Manchester City’s unsuccessful summer. To be in line with the new Financial Fair Play rules set out by UEFA, Marwood decided that players would not be bought, until players were sold. However, players were not sold until very late in the transfer window where Adebayor, Weiss, Santa Cruz, De Jong and Johnson all left with 2 weeks or less of the summer transfer window to go.

more on Theo..
Southampton legend Claus Lundekvam believes that Arsenal forward Theo Walcott will sign a new deal with the Gunners.

Arsenal need to just draw up a contract that amounts to 100k but put the extra 20 or so k in bonuses

I presume saints received money for the players. So no reason to complain.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
I wonder what total Chelsea would have forked out to get Ba if it had went through, I highly doubt he was asking for the same contract and fee's his agent's asked us for.
I can't see him signing a contract with us either if he had little interest in taking lower offers from Chelsea.
Simple stuff now, Someone pays up or he walks free upon contract expiry.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
His contracts up in 2014. This may drag out although i doubt it. Rejection during this window will not do him any good. I do agree with Damien though, he should stay with you at Newcastle.
Anyone watching Gary Neville's HT talk on SS1?

Come on Dave Hansen and Lawrenson can be partically scathing about their former club.
