Re: Football Season 2012/2013
It is hypocritical to be fair. Pardew does do the same thing. Most of them do, it's a stressful job and we all get annoyed as fans so imagine what the managers go through.

Pardew did it in the same game twice! When he thought the goal was given offside and the again towards the end when he thought Valencia should have been sent off. But of course that doesn't get reported by the press.

He wasn't doing well though. It seems they're being more proactive than they were about Kean, maybe overcompensating to an extent, this is how they've been told to behave.

Yes, that's what I meant by given the amount of notice given...

I think you'll find it was us who took a chance on him, despite a good scoring record he has a dodgy knee and went on strike at least once in Germany and he was consistent for us, his goals gave us a chance of staying up in spite of Avram's best efforts.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
It's just SAF doing what SAF does. Not saying it's right and if I wasn't a United fan I'd probably get annoyed by him too. But I don't think it matters too much. The FA have acted against him enough times to convince me his rants are harmless enough and won't change much if anything.

I agree. All managers do it so for another manager to say it was wrong for another manager to do is wrong

Indeed he did. Both managers did it so none of them should complain

The FA act against SAF when he does something wrong. Yes sometimes SAF does go a bit OTT with his actions and of course his comments thats what makes SAF the person and manager he his.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Sorry, SAF is just becomg embarrassing.
He has been sucessful managing a team, a limited opportumity that few others get the opportunity to do the same. Same as saying a F1 driver is the best in the world, when that is a closed shop.
Equally limited opportunity for other teams to compete over the years.
Nothing I have seen from him merits real reconition. Has he slaved for years caring for the sick, sacrificed his own comfort for others? develop some important benefit for mankind?
I think we are a bit easy to please when we choose our heroes

Yes true. Still I think it's become ridiculous how players demand pay raises or leave after one good season for their club. Some players need to stay, look at Manchester City and all the players who left and had their careers stall because greedy agents have their ear. Nasri, Sinclair, Lescott all these players were at the start of something promising and have become nothing more than squad players at that.

From BBC website
Rich Canton on Twitter: "Nottingham Forest pitch passes inspection. Fears were that it would be waterlogged from fan's tears at Alex McLeish's appointment as manager."

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Has there been any other player to serve a ban for accumulation of yellow cards just for diving? Bale got his 5th yellow this season today, all for diving. Although the one today was very harsh.
