Re: Football Season 2012/2013
I was hoping that Mick McCarthy would get the job and relegate Chelski, until a friend on Facebook reminded he was now at Ipswich. In which case, let's get Rafa in there and see Chelski next season at Elland Road.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
I think they sacked RDM too early. He did brilliant for them while he was temp manager and start of season has been good for them excvept last few weeks. When will Roman reallise he needs to just keep 1 manager and give him time and stop sacking them beacuse of a few bad results.
If this happened to SAF years ago i wonder where MUFC would be now. Also AW has been given time at Arsenal and its got them some cups. Ok so Arsenal havnt won anything for about 6 years but yet the board still give AW the backing to do the job

i have no issues with him sacking the manager.
He puts the money into the club, he gets to choose who he wants. If people are not happy, let them put their money into the club. Problem with that, fans are quick to complain about things, but slow to use their own money.
What would the english premiership be like without all the money that went into it? I suspect not as good. Who would want to play here, apart from the money? Most other countries have better weather, more appealing.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
I agree, but on the flipside, just think how many World Cups or European Championships we could have won since 1966 if we didn't have too many foreign players in the Premiership?
This is why I have said in the past that maybe Hodgson needs to look to the Championship downwards to find English players to bring on. God knows in the Premier League they get little playing time unless they are excellent or playing for a club who can't attract foreign players, or decent foreign players at that.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Not convinced that keeping foreigners out, would make England a better team, and you would win the world cup, european championship.
Firstly, that would presume all other countries would not be as good, or better in that scenario. And it isn't just being english, it is structure of the leagues, style of play etc. That has nothing to do with nationality of players.
I feel you are delusional if you think England would have won more world cups, if they only had english players.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
I didn't say ban ALL foreign players, I do think a quota would be the best way to go. Ditto a wage cap, so no-one can earn more than £100k a week after tax is paid.

0?
You don't strengthen your national team but removing competition for the players.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
I suppose, where would you have the cap set after tax is deducted?
