Football First
At what point do Virgin start offering compensation for the unreliable state of Match Choice on TiVo?
I could not get the selection screen up until the game was roughly 40 minutes through, making the whole process pointless. How can the screen that states MC starts at 10:30 also say there are no available events at 10:40?
Combine this with the fact you cannot record the games as on Sky it makes for a very lackluster experience, especially considering the cost.

Of course you can, the Sky presenter shows you how to do it on the sky plus box at the start of every Football first Game of the Day show.
Select your match from the list of games and press record.

Re: Football First
You can definitely record red button matches on Sky. You could do that when I was with them and that was a few years back. To be honest I thought you would have been able to do so on VM as well but I expect far too much.

Just add it to the growing list of things Virgin do second best.

Well Virgin should be implementing it, TiVo is supposed to be a recording box isn't it?
This is supposed to be a premium service on premium channels for the countries premier sport at a premium price.

Because nasty old Sky won't allow them but alas Sky's record of with-holding things is as long as a petty criminals record of being in jail several times a year without any chance of rehabilatation forthcoming.

Because it's not their application. It's Sky's.
However, on the V+ at least, it simply isn't possible for a red button application to make a recording. I'm not sure about TiVo.

It doesn't do it because Virgin havn't bothered, if Sky plus boxes can do it then any box can.
Alternatively provide the streams on the EPG for recording like they did at the Olympics

Can we have that list?
For me, apart from fewer TV channels, VM do things better than Sky. I think you can leave the Sky ipad off that list because VM will launch their's soon.
