Virgin Media 2013 Fantasy EPG

With all the threads on "coming soon" channels and the exclusivity that Sky has on some of it brands - I thought it would be nice (and also to nudge Virgin to make the deals we customers want) to put together what I feel would be the best possible channel list that VM should be aiming for by 2013.

I have got two lists - one is my take on all the channels (the ones not currently on VM are channel numbers white with red font) and what a good ordering would be.

The second is the ultimate EPG I would like us to get to where we do away with SD channels and Plus 1 altogether (with PVR I just don't understand the need for bandwidth munching timeshift channels) and have the slickest possible channel selection we can.

Enjoy and please feel free to comment.

Can everyone download this file or is it only for those who are registered on the forum?

What about those who don't yet have an HD set? Whilst you can view HD channels on Tivo on a non-HD set, I don't think you can V+ or even a standard VHD box. And what about channels that don't get broadcast in HD?

Also, not everyone has a V+ or Tivo so those +1 channels will be useful to them.

Re: Virgin Media 2013 Fantasy EPG

Just to clear up - the Ultimate EPG is when everyone is brought into the 21st Century and has a PVR set top box (or catch up TV has matured to be really "catch up" and not selective for 7 days) and a HD Ready TV. At the moment i'm only looking to remove the channels that are simulcasting in SD and HD.

Well my line-up (and I suspect everyone else's) will be to include the channels I like/watch and not the channels I don't
