Well it seems to be the case that it doesn't drop the connection as much if it's on 144Mbps but it should supposedly be able to handle 300Mbps without rebooting as it could with the previous firmware. Downloaded 2 albums of iTunes this evening and it just kept coming up "Error downloading, the connection was reset". Think I'm either gonna end up getting the Linksys E4200 or the AirPort extreme cause it just ain't good enough

I can vouch for the following wi-fi routers :
Asus RT-N56U (radio: simultaneous dual-band n @ 300 Mbps / wired: Gigabit) ~Â£90
Draytek 2830Vn (radio: single-band n @ 300 Mbps / wired: Gigabit) ~Â£210
Asus RT-N15 (radio: single-band n @ 300 Mbps / wired : Gigabit) ~Â£25

All have been solid and very stable with excellent radio performance, and the N56 and Draytek have been subjected to very heavy loads at times. For a simple setup or for use as an access point, the N15 is an absolute bargain, recently replaced by RT-N13.

I recently had VM upgrade my broadband to 60Mb, replacing my Ambit modem with a SuperHub. The engineer was very pleased when I told him I already had a radio setup and wanted to use the SH only in modem mode - he described the SH radio as "dodgy at best".

I had 3 broadband faults yesterday, two were crappy wifi. One I put in a dlink615 they had before, the Other I couldnt fix and the customer was going to go back to talktalk. The other was a faulty modem that I replaced with a hub but the wifi was slow so put the dlink back in. 3/3 had wifi issues
