Question Multi-Room Streaming - help

Hi,

We now have a second TiVo box and I saw there a Multi-Room Steaming options on System Info and was wondering how I would set it up.

There, is little to no info in the booklet we was left.

I have 2 in there
7A7C
9CBF

7A7C says
1. Service Number: Service Number here

2. No host information is available TiVo box Name: 7A7C

9CBF* says
1. Service Number: Service Number here

2. Connection confirmed
TiVo box Name: 9CBF
Model: Gen07S
Network Address: 169.XXX.XXX.XX
Software Version: 15.3.RC5-VMW-2-C8A
Multi-Romm Can stream content

At the top of the screen it has
Multi-Room Streaming
Unnamed Tivo box: Video sharing Disabled.

How do I get it so it can stream, is it possible?

At the moment we have not got enabled Multi-Room Streaming but this is likely to change in the coming months one suspects.

When are we likely to get some information on this? The reports are that What HIFI have got some info on this and the Ipad app (presumably from VM). When will VM bring it's paying customers up to speed?

Didn't think you could, but worth a shot

Maybe a VM official on the VM Tivo forums could post at least as much information as has been given to What HIFI? The natives are getting restless; maybe the odd morsel of information would help?

You can't stream, but you can delete a show from one Tivo using the other Tivo. Both have to be hooked up to your network to do that. I do make use of that occasionally.

According to 'What HiFi?' the answer to when is Autumn - they have a two page spread on the new app. And as for how it will connect to and control the TiVo it seems that we have perhaps missed the obvious. It looks to me as if it will all be done by our network talking to the TiVo networks and providing us with 'Take TV Anywhere' services as well. So, with a TiVo subscription you will have the equivalent of the Sky offering.

For those interested it's in the October editon pages 30 and 31.

Virgin media will never bring you up to speed on anything it,s the mushrooms & ******** story you pay them to treat you like an idiot. And they do that very well I tried to find out why 5 channels are such poor quality had a tec out to house he checked everything and left saying he had no idea why the picture quality was so bad I am on the verge of telling them to shove it try not paying your bill they will soon pay attention :P

The reason it is so bad is down to Ch5 themselves. Earlier in the year they moved transponders to Astra 1N, and because Ch5 have chosen to add all their other services (5*, 5 USA and the +1 services and the CH 5 regions) the bitrate for Channel 5 is now very low.
