Yeah he is very popular at the moment.
Credit also needs to go to John Major for some part of the success of TeamGB, Tessa Jowell and Ken Livingston for London 2012 too.

Re: The London 2012 Olympics: Current affairs discussion
Yep, there was a blog in the Tele trying to pull all that together yesterday, pointing out that Tessa Jowell was the only one in Cabinet pushing to support the bid. She should be very proud of herself this morning, for that level of foresight and belief in what we could all achieve as a nation. IIRC the discussion was about the small decisions making a big difference over many years, which is how Major also got a name-check for bringing in the Lottery and structuring it so that it funded grassroots sport amongst other things.

Sadly normal TV scheduling has returned.Apart from there still being no news and the Beeb don't seem to want to shift from the Olympic Park studio.
So back to the unfinished chores.....

Who can blame them ... When you've been to the ultimate festival you want to delay your departure as long as possible, just to make sure you lap up every last second.

Just a reminder. World Cup 2018? Only 1 vote. Oh FIFA.....
I say we bid for Euro 2020! (Do Britain, if Scotland vote for independence then it becomes Britain and Scotland 2020 etc).

Its shocking any way you look at it awarding the World Cup to Russia and Qatar.
