Im new here and dont know if this has been asked before.
I have a VM Home hub upstairs and a TiVo downstairs.
The Wi Fi reception down stairs is not great.
Can I plug a wireless repeater into my TiVo box to give better Wi Fi reception downstairs?
Re: Can I plug a wireless repeater into my TiVo box
If it's a repeater there's no need to plug it into the Tivo box as it will simply pick up the home hub signal. You'd simply site it somewhere that still has decent reception from the Home Hub, but is nearer to the location where you want to improve wireless reception.

Thanks for that.
I get what your saying but I was thinking of using the box as if would be a direct connection.
If I can not use the box I will do as you say and site the repeater in range of the home hub.

The network port on the TiVo are nothing to do with your broadband service.
At present the TiVo ethernet port has no use. That my, or may not change in the future as TiVo can allow streaming to other TiVo boxes or compatible systems, but is something not enabled on the Virgin Media platform at present.
