Hi there similar inquiry but at the moment i have a 3d tv and the standard old style virgin box with the L tv package i see on the virgin sales site that i can get the standard HD box for a one of £20 payment which will give me access to 3d content,but i can find no mention of what i can get,it would look like it would be through the on demand service but i cant see any 3d option programs in the on demand i can view,so the question i have is what is available apart from films and sport,not interested in the films unless i can fill the screen with the image which cant be done with 3d dvds,i know the purists will jump on me and say i should watch films in the format they where made but sorry i have a 51inch tv and want to watch a 51inch image.

3D content is only on the XL package not L. That could be why you cannot see the 3D content which is mainly documentaries.

Not sure if they mean the up and coming olympics or not mate, but you will be able to see 3D content when the games are on.

That's Football,Rugby and Tennis as far as I'm concerned.
Or could it be Sky Sports 3D is on the way?

Did wonder about that but the HD content shows i just cant get it at the moment.

Well sorted it although there advertising would lead you to believe different normal 3d is only available on xl looking at on demand xl lists HD and 3D, L lists HD and not 3d.i guess you could get 3d films with L but didn't want them.

Virgins website also has a picture next to 3D sports which suggests you can watch golf in 3D. The golf ball is flying out the TV screen. Has any golf been broadcast on Virgin in 3D?
