Vigin Media 3D
hi, new to the forum so go steady.
we got a 3D tv at christmas, and we are really impressed.
i know theres 3D content on the on demand channel, but what we would really love is a 3D channel like skys.
does anyone know if there will be one in the future?
ive been with virgin over 10 yrs,the ntl days, but im getting pressure of the kids and missis to get sky for their 3D channel, which im not to keen to do.
sorry if there is already a thread, but i searched but couldent find one.
and if there isnt maybe people could put there 3D on demand reviews or news in here.it minght save us some time and money
thanks.

Re: Vigin Media 3D
Currently only on demand 3D available. During the Olympics there will be a Eurosport 3D channel and 3D broadcasts.

Re: Vigin Media 3D
Also, some 3D TV's will change non 3D pictures into 3D pictures and there are 3D discs available that are a lot better value than the Sky channel.

Not worth bothering with in my experience.

Re: Vigin Media 3D
my tv as the 2D to 3D option, and its pretty good on the right type of programe. i tend to use it when watching football or programes like the blue planet.
ive also signed up to lovefilm, to try and keep them quiet.
but you would think virgin would make their own 3D channel to rival skys.

Re: Vigin Media 3D
There isn't enough content just now to warrant having a proper channel.
Thats why VM went down the VOD route for 3D.

They took a lot of 3D content off in January and never replaced it even though they said there would be lot's more.
Another route you could take for 3D content would be to buy the Roku media player that we got a couple of weeks ago. There is a free channel in there called 'Wealth TV 3D'. It is a live channel but also wth lots of VOD content. The Roku is only £49.99 or £99.99 for a model with more features. http://www.roku.com/uk

That 3D content has been on there for at least 6 weeks so it's hardly new
