There's nothing "grudging" about it

My point was all the doom-mongers saying "it'll never happen" and "people will move to Sky". I can't say I knew it would happen but I certainly had more faith in VM than some people on here.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 2.

In addition to Dave42's post #286, can anyone confirm if the BBC's coverage of this years world snooker championship from sheffield will be in HD? I know the BBC cover it in HD because Eurosport will be broadcasting it (again) in HD.

Thanks
piquet41.

It's interesting that they have the bandwidth for all these Olympic channels yet, at all other times, they don't have the capacity according to them (VM).....

My point was all the doom-mongers saying "it'll never happen" and "people will move to Sky". I can't say I knew it would happen but I certainly had more faith in VM than some people on here.

Actually, the posts were saying that VM shhould anounce that they were adding the linear channels ASAP, and warning that if they weren't added, they could lose customers to Sky.

I can't remember anyone saying "it'll never happen". And there is a difference between, as you descriibe it, 'doom mongeriing' and warning VM that they would be making a big mistake if they failed to add linear channels.

VM have done the right thing, but why the delay in anouncing it? They either weren't sure that they were going to add them, or maybe they need a shake up in the marketing team?
