Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed

Now that is weird as the postcode you gave in a previous thread (also all other Telford postcodes) are dictating Oct2012-July2013 for your upgrade..

And my postcode is saying April to July, but it says this in the green box in my virgin media:
"You're up and running on one of our new double speed packages.

Want to make the most out of your superfast broadband?"

I'm confused

Nope. That's a requested upgrade as the upload is still at 3Mbit

When the area has been properly upgraded your upload would be 6Mbit

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed

I think that is what they are implementing now though, so allowing download upgrades much earlier while the upload upgrade will come later.

I was not due an upgrade until October 2012 at the earliest but been able to invoke my upgrade from 20 to 60MB via My Virgin Media today.

If that is a requested upgrade then fine with me!

I asked VM about this message in the green box today, and was told that as part of the preparation for the upgrade, some of the work has already been done, and this appears to be what has triggered the premature message. But you need to go by the dates given instead.
