Re: all HD?
The V HD box can only show those programs that are broadcast in HD. Many programs are still only broadcast in Standard Definition. If you go into the TV guide you can choose the HD option (8) and see what is available.

Re: all HD?
...Err yes, the rest are just upscaled, if you have a very good TV or AV amp it will be able to do a better job of the scaling than a set top box.

It shows both HD and SD channels and will upscale the SD.

Re: all HD?
Sorry for that. I admit I worded my post badly but I assumed the OP was receiving all his subscribed channels but that he had assumed they would all be in HD due to the STB being labled HD.

The channels with HD after the name broadcast in HD, and programmes carried can be in HD, upscaled HD, or SD, depending on how they were made or later processed. Reference to the TV guide as mentioned earlier will tell you what applies.
BBC1 HD is a non regional channel, hence cannot carry regional programmes. ITV1 HD only currently has 4 operating regions.

It also means that if you want to record something in SD on BBC1, you can to save disc space, so you can choose what you record in SD and HD, when a channel has an HD option.
