Great news about Sky Anytime rolling out to all ISP's.
Only about 4 months ago I fired off a "strongly" worded Email to Mr Darroch saying how my neighbour on Virginmedia could access Sky Anytime but I as a long time customer couldn't

Sky replied with a 6 month half price Skyworld and reducing my HD pack to £5 a month. I guess a few other customers may of had a similar opinion to me and sent of a complaint.

		| Sky has reported a boost in second-half 2011 profits due to strong sales across its TV, broadband and landline packages.
The company, which was the subject of an aborted takeover bid by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation last year, generated pre-tax profit of £601m in the six months to December 31, 2011, up 16% on the same period in 2010.

Sky sold 772,000 products over the period, although only 100,000 were taken by new subscribers.

Average revenue per user (ARPU), a key metric for analysts, was £544, up by £8 on the same period in 2010, but the rate of customers leaving Sky was 9.6%.

Sky recognised that customers were feeling the pinch of the touch economic conditions.

"It has been a strong first half with progress on all fronts. While these are tough times for many consumers, our customers are staying loyal and more households continue to join us," said Sky chief executive Jeremy Darroch

		| Long-awaited broadband TV venture YouView looks set to take a significant amount of Sky's market share, according to a fund manager who has recently sold his stake in the satellite broadcaster.
Speaking to the Independent, the investment expert said YouView - which is backed by the likes of BT, the BBC, ITV and TalkTalk - could take "some good share" of Sky's customers.

"There's Freeview, a hard drive, catch-up TV and football if you want it. All that for maybe £20 a month," they commented.

YouView will allow customers to sign up for Sky Sports on a standalone basis, rather than as part of a subscription package, as is the case with Sky and Virgin Media

		| Mad Men Season 5 comes to its new home on Sky Atlantic on March 27, just two days after it airs in the US.
Set in 1960s New York, Mad Men follows the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising, specifically fledgling agency Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.

The award-winning series stars Jon Hamm as the enigmatic and flawed Don Draper, alongside Elisabeth Moss, January Jones, Vincent Kartheiser, Christina Hendricks and John Slattery.

Season 4 ended with Don proposing unexpectedly to his secretary Megan, and Joan (Hendricks) and Roger (Slattery) reigniting their affair, resulting in Joan falling pregnant.

'There are some new people,' says creator, writer and exec producer Matthew Weiner of the fifth series. 'Changes have happened off screen, and the audience will have to catch up with that. Even though Don ended up making this overture to Megan, and the audience felt sort of peculiar about it, so did the people in the office. That's something that we play on.'

The series debuts with a double bill, followed by an unbroken run of all 13 episodes, and customers will be able to watch Mad Men on Sky Go on iPads, selected smartphones and laptops at no extra cost.

		| Sky 1 picked up the coveted channel of the year prize at last night’s Broadcast Awards – as ITV drama stole the show.
A commitment to spend £600m a year and shows including Mad Dogs, Got to Dance and Trollied helped Sky 1 beat BBC2, BBC3, ITV1, ITV2 and Sky News to the top prize.

Judges praised the channel for a “content revolution”, which assisted in raising its viewing share by 13% year-on-year.
