Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
The new traffic management details haven't been release yet. Using the existing ones for comparison is pointless as they may not be the same for the same speeds after the changes.
And you'll need a SuperHub to get 30Mbit and above

VM's press release specifically states:
"Upstream speeds and traffic management fair usage amounts will be increased in proportion to the increase in downstream speed."

Yes I know, but thats a general statement, so that's generally what will happen. But no specific limits have been released that's all Im trying to get across

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
The exact details haven't been released, I'll agree with that. But based on the above press release it's pretty clear it'll be in proportion or in any case not far off. Maybe not exactly in proportion, but close enough that I personally won't care.

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
I'd settle for a secure VM network with no clones on it

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
Hi everyone, I've had a very interesting chat with someone within VM's UK technical team and he's given me some info that he's only just found out after being in some meetings today. VM have sent some really confusing infomation out about the double speed upgrade. I've written about it here:
http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...981987#M112062
(Not sure whether adding a link to another forum is the right thing to do. If not, I can always copy and paste if preferred)
