Pricing errors or being ripped off?

Okay so this is a pretty long post, but i think it's important.

I'm currently paying this for these :

I saw this on the website :

So if i worked it out right im paying more than somebody with exactly the same, except they have 50meg internet when im on 20.

It also says my area is 100meg ready. But i have no option to select to upgrade to it as you will see below.

Advertised is also a free superhub, installation, and all ive got to pay is for activation £30.00 one time fee.

All seems ok, go to the final checkout where i have to confirm my order and i get this, and it makes me try to pay it on the next step.

I have 2 questions, is this some kind of error and do i have to take a superhub to upgrade to 50meg because i currently have one of the blackish netgear routers and a blue modem and they've worked pretty well.

Re: Pricing errors or being ripped off?

you need the SH for anything above 20Mb. The 30£ is charged to all existing customers. worth the investment with VM looking to do upgrades this coming year where your speed will double.. for free. if you haven't got the SH you wont be able to get higher speeds.

Re: Pricing errors or being ripped off?

I understand that thenry as i said i understand £30 needs to be paid for activation but check my final checkout price. £75 for a superhub when it clearly says i get one for FREE.

Re: Pricing errors or being ripped off?

sorry, i didn't see that..

tomorrow during the day call VM 150 > 1 to confirm account > option 5 > 2 'thinking of leaving' and tell them whats happened, they should sort it out for you.

regarding 100, ask while on the phone to the agent

Re: Pricing errors or being ripped off?

Phoned up, kind of sorted it out. Being installed next week thursday.

Total monthly price for Talk Unlimited, TV (Lowest Package) and 50meg is £48.00/month. Compared to my current £46.90, it's just £1.10 extra. I worked the offer out to be cheaper that was on the website but still it's not much more.

She said it must have been an error with the £75 superhub, the only thing we had to pay was £30 for installation (activation, or whatever you want to call it).

Interestingly i also heard an agent in the background shouting "MR HAMILTON, MR HAMILTON, YOU'RE NOT ACCEPTING ANYTHING I SAY OVER THE PHONE AND I CANT PUT YOU ANY HIGHER BECAUSE THEY WILL SAY THE SAME THING. WE'RE JUST GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES" over and over again throughout the call.
