Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
EPG takes at least 10-20 minutes to populate enough to go to any channel without that warning coming up, leave it for a bit and it'll be fine.

Why are VM staff defending an app that is so clearly lacking essential, routinely used features?

I think you are missing the point passingbat! The VM Spotify account allows you total flexibility as to how you listen to your music. I listen on my Surround Sound System, iPod, iPad and I listen in the car on my Galaxy S2.
I am, as you will see if you read my postings on the new You Tube app, extremely critical of poor technology. I believe the Spotify app is an indication as to how state of the art apps should be.
PS I have no connection with VM other than as a customer!

I find it amazing that you think that basic things such as search and shuffle is a too high an expectation of a music service
Someone has suggested that one of the best features of music services; playing tracks of associated artists is also missing (artist radio on Spotify). This is a great way of discovering you haven't heard before.
The question is, why couldn't these basic features have been included on the Tivo app?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Not necessarily. Look at VM's track record... some time after the Scientific Atlanta V+ HD box was rolled out the Samsung V+ HD box came along. A few months ago there was talk of a second Super Hub being made by a different supplier. Knowing VM's business practice, who is to say there won't be another VM TiVo made that improves upon the first like the Samsung V+ HD box did to the SA one?

And anyway, if you already knew of both those threads going "this is surely lies" is tantamount to spamming to get attention, which I've walked right into.

That is true.
I hope this does not turn out to be true

Well my parents was a CISCO box and I was really suprised by its speed , many had complained it was slow although to be fair there box had 15.2 straight off. All the menus were pretty nippy and so was the channel change , and the SD PQ impressed me, although i'd like to see the SD screens gone.

the ITV red button on tivo has " I am a Celebrity Vote" LOL
---------- Post added at 21:07 ---------- Previous post was at 20:04 ----------
When this Sky Sports Red button app comes out (by the end of march)
I hope we are able to record Match choice and Champions League (2012 - 2013 season) games somehow.

No. The apps don't work in a way that a tuner can record it, just as you cannot record the red button on the older boxes.
Match Choice has an easy work around of just recording the showing overnight and I imagine the Champions League games are repeated as well.
