HD + and Tivo

does anyone know of any method of getting HD recordings from a V+ box onto a Pc i know the V+ box has nothing other than transfer to Dvd option at which point the HD recording becomes SD.
have not upgraded to Tivo yet (to much bad press) does Tivo have an option to transfer HD recordings in HD ?

any and all help appreciated

Nope. The TiVo offers no exporting options at all so to get your recordings onto DVD you would have to record your recordings as you do now but you'd be unable to watch anything else at the same time.

As for HD, the only box that will do that is the older V+HD box and you'd require a nearby PC and other equipment in order to do it.

Neither V+ or TiVo will transfer HD quality to PC directly, but there is a method:

If you want to retain HD quality then you will have to use a PC capture card that can handle component input:

Re: HD + and Tivo

some U.S Tivo Boxes (mainly Series 2) have DVD-R/RW drives that can tranfer your recordings to your dvd

maybe virgin could launch a Tivo STB that has a DVD-R/RW and BD-R/RE drive
