£3 TiVo charge
There is a thread on the Community Forum regarding the £3 monthly TiVo fee. Apparently it is due to change to £3 per box from the 1st November for any boxes ordered after that date. Current subscriptions will remain £3 per account.
Can anyone confirm if this is true? I did try and check out the VM Facebook page but couldn't find the relevant thread.
I thought this might be interesting if anyone was thinking of getting a box. If it is true of course!

Thanks for the quick response Ben
Is this true for VIP50 too? I have two 1TB TiVo boxes at the moment, if I added a third after this date would it apply?

Based on what I've been told so far, yes it applies to everyone for all TiVo boxes added after 1st November

Re: £3 TiVo charge
Hmmm, that might tempt me to add a third TiVo box then. We did have a VHD in the kids room but removed it because it was rarely watched but with recording we'd b able to record all their favourite shows. Hmmm, time to get thinking!
Thanks Ben, as always.

Re: £3 TiVo charge
Just ordered my 2nd Tivo before the extra charge kicks in and got it for £49.95 with no activation fee.

Re: £3 TiVo charge
Did you have to negotiate or was that the flat rate?

Re: £3 TiVo charge
The pricing is now per install not per the number of boxes you already have, so you always pay the lowest price available for the box you want

Re: £3 TiVo charge
Currently we have one TiVo, one Vhd and one v+. If I wanted to update the two non TiVo boxes to tivos am I right that I would only pay 1 49.95 fee and no extra £3 per box? All as part of a VIP 50 deal.
Seems like it might be a good time to upgrade if so before the per box charge comes in if I've got this right.
Thanks in advance for any clarification anyone can provide.

Re: £3 TiVo charge
If you wanted two 500GB TiVo boxes you would pay £0 activation for one box and £49.95 for the second box
You would also have to pay £49.95 installation
If you ordered before 1st November your monthly fee would not increase

Thanks for the info - I'll have to see if I can convince my wife now! The fact that reminders are on the way to Tivo might help me win this one. I don't want to start of that argument again - I know some people regard them as pointless with Tivo, but I can guarantee that they will NEVER convionce my wife of that one!
Thanks again.

Re: £3 TiVo charge
Just point out the wireless streaming then she can still watch her recorded programs elsewhere when you have a barney.
