Former world marathon record-holder Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia will compete in the first ever Bupa Great Birmingham Run on 23 October organiser Brendan Foster said it was "fantastic" that the man he called "the greatest runner of all time" would run in the half-marathon.

As there already is a London 2012 thread we should be using that existing thread..It's way too early for a thread based on the actual events happening at the Olympics so I'm closing this one.
