There are too many things that could happen in the next 10 months for them to promise anything. Any channel could sign their imports up and they'd be stuck paddling in the mire. iTunes is already releasing episodes of Castle months before Alibi airs them so it looks as if they've already lost first run rights to that.

Virgin media will surely have to get Premier Sports very soon or people will leave Virgin Media. It is only matter of time until they launch a HD channel.

NHL arrives on Premier this weekend. We aim to show as many games live as possible. Up to 10 per week. Happy days

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. III.
Virgin Media might reach a deal very quickly with Premier Sports like they did with ESPN.

I remember Premier Sports officially announced they secured the UK broadcast rights to ESPN Friday Fight Night earlier this year. About 2 weeks later it was confirmed the deal was off. Why was the deal off? Well apparently Premier Sports went directly to ESPN in America and secured the rights to shows Friday Fight Night exclusively live in the UK at 3:00am. About 2 days later ESPN in the UK confirmed the show would still be shown by them in the UK but not live. They would continue to broadcast the show at either 7:00am or 8:00am, just hours after the live broadcast on Premier Sports.
Let's wait and see what happens with this NHL deal.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. III.
A good few weeks from Virgin. £7 off my bill with the dropping of the 2nd box premium HD charge, five new HD channels and the launch of Sky Anytime content.
