Wish people would stop blaming sky for everything and sky atlantic is not being withheld,Just that vm will not pay what they want for it and if you contact the other channels providers i mentioned above they are all pretty much saying the same thing.

Think thats a bit harsh,The channels coming according to media boys post, wouldn`t be my personal choice. But its at least new channels,So that`s got to be good news !!!!!

TBH my contract is up in March, if more hasn't arrived and the EPG and TiVo bugs haven't been fixed then I will most likely switch back to sky. I really like Virgin. What they do they do really well. but certain things like the lack of Atlantic, extra HD channels (Sky Sports 3/4 HD) and the red button debacle are starting to annoy me.
Im thinking along the same lines matey !!!!!!!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. III.

Of course they are withholding it, their adverts say nothing else except $ky Atlantic this, $ky Atlantic that. If i offered you something for more than i knew you would possibly pay, then thats the same as withholding it, but being able to say sorry guv, i woulda shared it but you baulked.

Smallworld were not offered Sky Atlantic. Virgin media have been offered Sky Atlantic but Virgin Media said was to high a price,
Quote:
Virgin Media on Thursday hit back at criticism that Sky Atlantic is not available to its almost 4 million cable TV subscribers, accusing BSkyB of demanding an "unrealistic" price for a carriage deal.

Virgin Media are currently in talks to get Sky Atlantic and confirmed by Media Boy insiders and hopefully it comes to Virgin Media soon but unlikely.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. III.

I still don't understand why you all get your knickers in a twist about Sky Atlantic, lets be honest, with BB as good as Virgin's you can download all the US TV you want, in HD quality, with no adverts and get it before Sky Atlantic has it.

As long as you don't mind breaking the law of course!

Sky Atlantic will be available to VM customers whenever VM bite the bullet and pay for it, it is not being withheld - VM say it's too expensive, Sky say VM want it on the cheap, believe which side you will.

It is a very frustrating situation for those who are unable to jump over to the competitors to see such brilliant television beig denied us. It is a gaping hole in VM's service and one they need to get sorted.

As for the UKTV channels - personally I couldn't be less enthused by them, they're simply coming to VM because they're cheap.

No but it's one of those laws that people turn a blind eye to...

I subscribe to Sky movies and buy blu rays, rent the odd movie from Qriocity and go to the cinema. But I still download the odd movie to watch it early and some TV episodes, I downloaded Game of Thrones cause VM haven't got Sky Atlantic.
